This is the best mounting solution for AKs. Most AKs have stamped sheet metal receivers that bend and flex. If you use a side rail mount, even a good one, you can push it with your hand and see its zero change because the receiver itself flexes. This mount, however, locks into the front trunnion and connects directly to the barrel. It holds zero almost as well as a bolt gun. Never ever buy a side mount if you plan to shoot your AK past 100 yards. Only buy this style of mount.

However, this mount requires some modifications to get it firmly attached to the trunnion. I had to add some washers to the inside and outside of the bolt. I also used washers as shims under the rearmost pin to get it level with the barrel before I tightened it down hard. Lastly, I used loctite on everything. Now, it's rock solid with zero play. I haven't shot it yet, but I expect it won't move.

I mounted this on a PSAK GF5. Results may vary for other brands.

Had to use 6 small M3 washers from Lowe’s on the right hand side of the M3 **** between the mount and receiver to keep it centered and from wobbling BUT , with blue loctite and after a couple hundred rounds it’s working so far on my PSA GF3 AK47

I ordered this for my psl54, they have the same rear sight as an ak, and while it did fit, it didn't work out right out of the box. I'd loved to have instructions, if not in the box at least available online, that would have made installation a little easier, you must take the leaf spring out, that was what frustrated me. And use you have the bolt tightened and the set screws adjusted, you'll find there is still slight play, so zero would be impossible. And if you do manage to get it tight, you'll find the set screws will loosen in less than 5 shots so loctite or super glue is a must as well. But, if you used loctite on the set screws, use the nut and bolt to adjust the right angle for the rail using the front sight as a good reference, I also had to grind 45 degree notches in the back so it wouldn't have any play and rest in the back of the rear sight base, and then used quiksteel to make a solid base where the rear sight base meets the rail and also between the front two set screws, it'll stay solid as a rock. If your not the kind of person to do this to a 3k dollar rifle find a different alternative. Also you will have to grind the bolt down if you insert it from the left side it's long enough to get in the way of the take down lever for the foregrip, once again something that would have been addressed if simple instructions where given.

Metal is solid. Went to a gunsmith to have it installed. Havent gotten to shoot it yet but if it Performa half as good as it feels it's a winner no brainer.

Took it to a gunsmith and he had it on within 5 minutes. I could not install this thing and it came with no directions but man it is SOLID!!! can't believe companies ae charging $100 4 this piece of metal. Thank you ohhunt!

For installation on SCS, a small improvement is required. In the first it is necessary to slightly tighten the edges, otherwise the hole under the screw does not match. Also necessary lining on the sides of the fastening otherwise after 20 shots the bar begins to wobble. After all the improvements it stands as poured. Shot 50 shots, did not move on the MM.

All according to the description. Has a gap when installed in the shoe. When clamping, not lyuftit. Put on a threaded sealant-blue. Base 100mm, but with picatinny slots only 80mm. enough to put even a sight, but very far from the eye. For the collimator the very thing. For this money-excellent. Nomad 3 costs 3000 rubles. It's been 3 weeks. With Sold did not communicate. Not bad.

Hi I am currently at work or I would attach a picture but after mounting it up I noticed mine isn’t right becythe bolt hole that is on the piece is too big for the bolt/**** that goes through the part so therefor it is not stable or stationary if you could please re send another or something we need to work something out this is so unfair I need another one but I’m not paying for it because it came messed up I’m furious because I had to take my iron sight off my AK and now I can’t shoot accurately or anything it’s too loose and broke.

Installed on an airsoft lancer tactical Ak-47 style rifle, i installed the rail in like 15-20 minutes, the online instruction were very helpful when installing the rail, watched a vid on how to remove the stock rear sight, and had no troubles installing the lengthened rail, so far im satisified, all the hardware arrived with an extra piece like in a lego set.

Bets the **** out of a side mount.
