Zero stars

I would give you zero stars if I could. The item was so late that I began to think it was a scam, so I called my bank and filed a fraud report. The item ended up coming anyway, so now I have to call the bank and tell them to reverse The decision.

Alright, good for a budget lpvo

Only complaints are the brightness is not good in full sun. Even on the highest settings it's hard to see. Also, I thought 6× magnification would be a little better. Overall a good lpvo. Can't beat it for the price point.

eyebox and parallax

The SFP version is much better, because the eyebox of this FFP is very small, brightness is not fantastic, and parallax is fixed, edges are not sharp. Compared to 1-5x24 SFP: that sfp version has a gigantic eyebox, it is superbright, it has a superwide field of view, edges are not bad, only very big downside is that the parallax is fixed, so i had to buy a different brand to be able to hit 5mm targets consistently. Ohhunt should bring out the guardian SFP 1-5 with adjustable parallax and sharp edges, then i would get a few of them.

The sight came quickly, the optics were bright. Everything is well! Today's 308 Win shot.

Great LPVO

Took a star away because the sight picture isn't as sharp as my Athlon or Vortex. It's the same difference between HD and 4k if you know what I mean.

Great optics, bizarre reticle and mechanicals!

What are the increments for the reticle? The reticle has numbered major divisions. What do they mean? 1 moa? 1 mil? It turns out if you measure them by putting up ruler and measure the distance subtended by a major division, it comes out to 12.5 inches at 100 yards which equates to 11.93 moa or 3.63 mils. Let's figure it's 12 moa they intended. Why on earth would anyone make a major division 12 moa? I asked the company "What are the divisions on the reticle" via their "chat" function and their response was "We have no information on this." My guess is this is a product that's put together quite nicely but designed by people who have never used such a product or understood its purpose.

The **** are almost as bizarre. Each click is 1/2 moa. There are 4 minor divisions per number on the ****. This means each number is worth 4 clicks or 2 moa. Why would anyone do THAT? So let's say you want to adjust up 15 moa for pitching a round up. That's 30 clicks or how many numbers? Well at 2 moa per number that's 7.5 numbers on the **** or 7 plus 2 clicks. It's like the bizarre math problems they give to kids in schools!

On the good side the image is clear and good looking. It's a nice scope to look through. The reticle is clear and the lighting easily adjusted from barely bright enough to see to brighter than you would need in the day. The lines are a little too thick for my taste but still very usable. The **** are all gasketed with O rings and have a nice, greasy feel. Running them up and down or left and right then resetting them to where you started brings them back to the same spot.

If your application involves NOT adjusting the scope after setting zero and shooting battlesight zero all the time this scope will work fine. For example 556 ball ammo out to 200 or 300 yards.

If you intend to dope rounds using the reticle, be good at doing basic math in your head or practice a lot and memorize holds for various conditions.

If you want to use the **** to dope rounds, be good at the math or develop a table for **** settings and just look them up.

I'd give it a 4 for image and build and a 2 for bizarre usability making it the three in the end.

For the money I paid for this product and comparing it to my Burris I will buy a spare it’s that good!
I have not got shoot it yet and I don’t know how it will hold up to the recoil of the 5.56.
Only time will tell but I am blown away by the quality of the glass comparing it to my very expensive Burris
Way to go you knocked it out of the park ohhunt.
