Finding free float handguards with enough inside clearance to deeply tuck a hybrid 46 and not melt stuff is a little challenging. Thankfully googles Gemini was helping source parts for this build and suggested the ohhunt large ID handguard because I never would have found it otherwise. This isn't something places like optics planet stock. As far as quality goes it seems well made for the price point and it's aesthetically pleasing. The finish on mine was top-notch. It is super lightweight for its size. It seems fairly rigid even with the bipod all the way out at the end. The anti-rotation notch fit perfectly onto an aero precision M4E1 upper with no modifications needed. The large cutouts in the handguard allow for easy gas block adjustment on a faxon adjustable gas block. Shipping was fast to Ohio. I have more planned builds in the future and will be using this handguard for each while it's available.

First time building an AR15 and it was pure **** trying to remove a few items. I will say that going through all of the frustration definitely paid off in the end. Highly recommend this hand guard if you are still running stock ones!
At first I was skeptical however once it arrived I think it worked out great and I don’t see any issues with it. The handgaurd feels relatively lightweight and sturdy. good quality.
The that weight it was described is off my gun feel heavier.
I was waiting on this rail to come back for a while and I am glad I waited. I knew about the stability issue and it appears to be secure now on 3 of the 4 sides with the top being blocked by the gas tube. The rail is now ridged with only the slightest upward movement. I do not plan on mounting anything more then a bipod, so for me, holding zero is not an issue. What I was pleasantly surprised was the finish. The photos show a glossy anodizing whale what arrived was more life the finish found on the KAC rail. I threw on some KAC rail overs and you hardly notice the diagonal vent holes. Overall I am very happy. I get the "MK12 at home" and I didn't spend more money on the rail than I did the barrel! Cheers!
