Ummmm....

What are those set screws for? I know it's rhetorical. If you lock down this end cap on the barrel it no longer is "free float". Not that it is the end of the world, but it is DEFINITELY not free float once you crew these down. Just don't, problem solved. Perhaps drill it out to .800" so it does not touch. Otherwise does what it does, fills in the end of the handguard.
