I bought a 4 inch for a 5.5 inch barrel, then I bought the 7 inch so my suppressor would be nested in the handguard.

I must've lucked out with the thread timing. Had no problems lining up holes for gas tube.
This is my second time purchasing this handguard, and it's fantastic. On a previous build, I used a Troy drop-in battlerail, but I couldn't get it to stop rotating inside the handguard cap and delta ring assembly.
Switching to this 9.7” FSB version solved the issue completely—it locks up rock solid with zero play. Just like my last build using this rail, I had to grind down the front sight block bayonet lug to fit, but the final look and feel are worth it. Overall, it creates a "SOPMOD Block 1.5" feel.
This is extremely light and the **** mounts are robust
Very impressed with this handguard. Lightweight, solid feel, excellent fit and finish, and the 1.8" ID provides plenty of room. Looks great on my 300. Highly recommend!
