Literally the same as a mk18 looks and feels great solid lockup same as my real dd.

I bought the 9.6" rail to do a fairly inexpensive Mk18 Mod 1 style build with a 10.5" barrel. These handguards are solid and of excellent quality. The barrel nut is excellent quality also.

I emailed customer service with a question and they answered me quickly on several occasions. And they actually provided very solid advice. The issue I thought I had was this... The barrel nut torques down the barrel very well, but it leaves a little play in the bolt up plate. Once you install the handguard to the bolt up plate (and tighten up the hardware) then all of the play is gone. Be sure to watch the video they include in the listing. It would have been helpful if the guy would have mentioned this crucial bit of info in his video.

These handguards provide for an extremely solid free floating setup and they look amazing. These rails are exactly 9.6" long in total length, regardless of what others say. The hardware (bolts and barrel nut) is very good quality and looks and feels to be of high grade steel. The overall fit and finish is excellent.

I ordered another 12.7" Mk18 rail as I am now building a 16" DMR with a Mk12 look. You can see it in one of the photos I included.

Overall, this Mk18 handguard is a very good alternative handguard to the original DD handguard.

Was a little on the fence at first, but turned out to be even better than I thought. 10.5 barrel with Dead air can.

Fit and finish is excellent. I plan to purchase another in the near future.

Arrived within 10 days, easy setup and feels sturdy once screwed in. Only complaint is the barrel nut is a bit soft, after 40 foot/lbs of torque the teeth of the nut began to peel on the side which created friction against the guard upon installation. Took a steel nail file to the nut, and added some elbow grease, within 1 hour it was on fully. Overall it’s a good high quality handguard for the price, and I’m happy with my purchase.

Handguard has excellent finish and is solid. There are no gaps and installation was pretty straightforward but a little tricky if you plan on mounting it on a mid length with FSB (trimming required). I had to cut a little bit of the rail to make way for the FSB and I can say that this rail has some hardness to it so it ain't just going to break on you. Some warning, all the DD copies they make are for carbine length even though it's advertised as mid length so pictured is a one-off. I would have got a DD if they made one in mid-length but this was cheap enough for me to cut it up to make it work. I'm surprised that it's actually really solid and symmetrical. Definitely worth the buy unless you're a brand snob. Lol.

I love it, I put a few rounds through it and it felt like heaven, i'm recommending to everyone.

You won’t be disappointed by the quality when you compare to the real article. A scratch hardness test of the hardcoat anodizing meets the milspec based and based on experience I expect the thickness finish is correct. Visually the handguard finish is comparable to an Anderson upper/lower with a chalky but consistent color.

Installed easily, need to make a harder barrel nut, but it did install well with my BCM wrench, needs more quality control, the top rail is slightly lower fit and finish to Mil spec uppers. Overall it feels solid, put 500 rounds down range, still feels soild. For the price no a bad buy.

For a budget rifle 100% worth it feels great can’t tell the difference locks up nice will definitely be buying a second 12.7 for my mk12 budget build thanks ohhunt will also be buying there rifle scope wish they had the carbine quadrail in stock I would love to get my hands on that as well

Surprisingly sturdy. This hand guard is meant for rugged use. The handguard is heavy duty, very durable and very reasonably priced. Other handguards of the same quality cost from $150 to $200 or more. I am more than pleased with my purchase. Every serious AR builder should give the MK 18 handguard serious consideration.

Flawless machining and finish and the rail was perfectly straight after everything was tightened. This is a near identical copy of the DD rail, for much less. In fact, I doubt 99% of shooters would be able to tell this is not a DD.
You'll need a large crow's foot to properly tighten the barrel nut and don't forget you'll have to use a formula to account for the extension on the torque wrench. I was pleasantly surprised to find the rail came with several shims to properly time the barrel too, which I had to do using two of the shims.
I have not been able to shoot my gun with the rail, so I cannot attest to the strength and that's where my only concern would be - the strength of the barrel nut.
