After 3 hours of filing with a file and milling it down by hand with a Dremel (because that's all I had) I finally got it to fit my Romanian AK-47 but now it's all scratched to **** and I gotta go buy touch up paint after I touch up some spots with a file. Love the idea of the platform and it's the only one of that style that comes in Flat Dark Earth but they need to be more precise when being made. On the bright side I did find it comical that it came from China and was labeled as an "Aluminum TV Wall Mount" in order to make it through the mail. Sneaky Sneaky.

I was a little leery about purchasing it for $30 since they're all $200 or $300 everywhere but I didn't have two or three hundred dollars for one. The last time I bought an aluminum quad rail was like 80 bucks and so I was like for 30 bucks I'll give it a try well it took a long time to get here so I thought I got ripped off and wasn't going to get it but then I finally got it in like a month (it was thru the holidays, got it on xmas eve) and I put it on the gun in 10 minutes and it snapped on very tight and like perfect fit and it's on there and it's every bit as good as the more expensive ones that I have. I wonder about the validity of some of these reviews that prefer the same thing at 10x or more the price.

Did not work for my US century BFT AK: The Top part of the rail that connects over the gas chamber did not fit properly to connect to the bottom portion of the hand guard to **** on. Also made the gun not able to function correctly if installed and was uneven. Too much pressure on the gas chamber when screwed on. If you buy it, you would have to fabricate it to fit. The top part of the guard has bridges underneath that hit against the gas chamber, has no room for it to connect flush with the edges & you will also have to grind the front of the guard because its too long.

The handguard is decent quality for being very budget friendly, it's very sturdy and seems very well built for the cost. however the shipping from China took forever. If you don't mind waiting on this thing for a few weeks/month and have a tight budget then get it. It's well worth the money.
