Use with no attachments

So I finished my build, and when fully tight barrel nut and hand guard, the mounting holes are not at 12, 3, 6, 9 o’clock. However this does not bother me personally due to my light weight build. However I’m sure there are ways to fix this, overall look good, feels good, and works perfect for me.

Finally got my handguard after a month and three weeks, I have to say it was worth the wait. Handguard is the lightest I own and was the cheapest. Machine work is great.. It just shows how bad the other companies Rip us off.. buy from oh hunt!!

Great value and rugged enough for a practical shooting course

These represent about the lightest weight handguards I have found. I needed a few shims to true them up and if you want to install mlok devices then your easiest answer is the drill out the factory **** holes. Otherwise I had no problems with the rail mounts available here and the screws listed in the description. These were strong enough to endure a practical shooting course where the weapon was dropped, braced on concrete, and pretty much beat on for a full weekend and I had no issues. Great product at a great price.

Junk

Minimum barrel nut mill spec tork is 40 ft lb. For safety. I destroyed this barrel nut at just 40 pounds and gas tube hole was not close to lining up. Don't buy don't buy junk

AR handguards

These are decent looking handguards, both the honeycomb and the hex mlok. The price was extremely low and the fit somewhat reflects this, the threads inside the barrel nut weren't as close or tight as one would prefer and also the index tabs on the handguard are meant to align the picatiny rail to the one on the ar upper had so much play they were pretty much useless. But **** for 26 bucks a guy can make due so I'm actually impressed with what showed up to be quite honest. I definitely recommend these parts.

This thing super light. Fits over my suppressed 10.5" pistol perfectly.

Nice Handguard

I wanted a handguard with a large enough ID to partially tuck the suppressor for a 10" .458 Socom and this fits the bill nearly perfectly. The honeycomb pattern is lightweight but still solid and open enough that it shouldn't transfer heat easily. My only complaint is the lack of a jam nut for timing purposes. Getting the rail mounting holes to line up at 12 and 6 is luck of the draw without one. Looks like I'll have to trim the back of the tube to align it and then loctite to keep it from moving. Still should be a wonderful thing.

The hand guard looks and feels great. While the hex shaped holes do not provide a means for attachments, there are **** holes that can be used. You would need to time the hand guard with shims so the holes are at 3,6 and 9 o’clock. I bought the hand guard to use in competition with an ultralight PCC. So far it fits that bill real well. Obviously, only time will tell how it holds up.

Excellent lightweight handguard.

This handguard is excellent construction and finish. I would have paid an extra $10 dollars for 2 setscrews that match the flat spot on the barrel nut. Simple fix. I will buy this again despite the setscrews. Excellent value.

Barrel nut to brittle.

Would not recommend. Company said I waited to long for them to replace it. 2 months isn't too long, I don't' order things and immediately put build something. So, I will not be ordering anything from this company again. Also, you can't add any rails to it, not sure what the threaded holes are for, nothing fits. Stuck with a scope, cqb or Nothing.

Exactly What I needed for my SBR

This was exactly what I needed to shorten my shroud so that I could put a can on my SBR... Very happy and will buy more.

Holes for gas tube nowhere close to lining up. Had to order a shim kit for it to be usable. I dont know why there is a Two sided threaded barrel nut.

Hand guard arrived quickly

Hand guard arrived quickly. The hand guard is very light weight the screws are pretty big. You must have an armor wrench to install it the barrel nut. Also, the barrel nut shims will help you align the barrel nut with the gas tube hose. Both are sold on this website. All in all nice hand guard for the price , I would buy again

Solid and Well priced

I used two of these so far, one on my block II build and another on a customers rifle. Both installed great. The flathead screws are a tad soft so use a **** driver that is the same thickness to prevent gouges. I would definitely buy more of these for future projects and would reccomend to others!

I’m very impressed with the OHUNT AR-15 handguard. The fit and finish are excellent, especially for the price. It feels solid and well made, and installation was straightforward with no issues. The handguard has a clean, modern look and provides plenty of room for accessories while keeping the overall setup lightweight and comfortable.

For the money, I think this is a great value. I would definitely consider buying another OHUNT handguard for a future build.

BLOCK 2/RISII is yours…cheaper

I’m a content creator so I have a ton of free **** sent to me from companies, and the RISII handguard was always the best, in terms of lock up and zero of laser. This handguard PERFECTLY performs both jobs. This is more proof DD is ripping us off. I encourage you to get this, and prove me right. This thing rocks. I spent my own money on this specifically to be unbiased. This thing rocks, will be building a CQBr here soon, as my BLOCK 2 is now complete thanks to OhhHunt

Pretty good

This is not an exact clone rail, but but it's pretty close. I bought for a 12.5" build because I wasn't going to pay for a DD rail just to take a hacksaw to it immediately. The vent holes are aligned differently on the ohhunt, meaning you can't make a totally clean cut anywhere without leaving a half circle vent hole. Not a big deal, they didn't build it with people chopping them in mind. DD bolts all fit fine but a DD barrel nut does not. The DD nut is slightly shorter and this rail can't be properly tightened to it. Again, not a big deal, the supplied barrel nut is good quality. The finish is shiny but I don't care because it's getting spray painted, as I imagine everyone else's will be. My only real gripe, and the reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had to chop my bayonet lug to make the lower rail piece fit and that isn't necessary on a real RIS II. Other than the stuff I mentioned, it is extremely rigid and high quality, would buy again
