I’m amazed that these are selling for this price. And shipping was very fast, it came in under a week. Very cool Mk12 Mod 1 style handguard. Looks very closely like the KAC RAS, and can fool the untrained eye. I bought the 7” one for my PCC with 8.3” barrel, and it looks amazing. I want to buy the 12” one now and build another SPR. I actually already build a Mk12 Mod 0, and that was expensive lol. If I stumbled across this first, I probably would have just built a Mod 1. These look great, and were easy to install. I think I remember having to use a barrel shim for timing. Luckily, being a 9mm PCC, I didn’t have to sweat over lining up the gas tube.
But these are great quality and a great value. And they look awesome. I love that nut to secure the handguard around the barrel nut. It looks very high end. And I love quad rails. A lot of people are moving into M-lok, which I get it - less snagging, slimmer profile, easier grip, less rough on the hands, and some accessories secure better with M-lok. But I love the old school badassery of a quad rail.
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and will purchase another. My only complaint/the only reason I waited so long to order it was because I had to use PayPal only for the payment. I didn’t want to set up PayPal and put in a card and wait for approval and yada yada yada. But it was actually really easy lol. Just created it real quick with my email, and put my card info in like any other purchase, and it was quick and painless. Don’t let the “PayPal only” deter you, it was stupid easy.
Ordered two of these for my CMP match rifles. The handgaurds arrived in a few days. Installation was simple and straight forward. Great deal I would use them on future builds.
I will say when I first saw ohhunt while looking for a mk18 style quad rail I was very weary, I read reviews both on the ohhunt website and Reddit saying that it was "mid" or "airsoft" quality, so I decided to take a gamble, "what the heck?" I thought "it's only 90 bucks so if it sucks I won't be out that much money" I ordered on a Saturday and it took approximately 8 days to arrive, I will say it was hard to get a response back from customer service but overall the shipping process was pretty seamless. When it arrived I immediately got to work installing it. The barrel nut isn't the best quality so if you can source a DD one or already have one I'd just use that. Installation was a breeze with watching their video other than the fact it took me over an hour to get my old barrel nut off but I digress. After installing I put my laser and flashlight on and went to the range. I must say I am really impressed with this handguard. It looks sleek, maintained zero with my laser, and even after shooting rapid fire with an FRT and suppressed, nothing melted, the handguard got manageably warm, but not "OH MY GOD" hot, and it vented the barrel pretty well. To say the least, I will be buying another one in coyote brown to better match the mk18 style. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to the DD handguard, this is definitely what I would call a sleeper. Very impressed, thanks ohhunt
Some fitment issue but easy fix good quality and good price in all I would order this product again.
Came fast and looks great on the rifle, I've order serval parts from ohhunt haven't had any issues
The dovetail piece requires filing. The whole setup is not rock solid on a gun unless you epoxy it. The build quality is good overall. A red dot sits quite high on a glock. The back side of the plate and the red dot (Osight SE in my case) is flush with a bacl plate of the glock slide.
