The barrel nut is made out of the cheapest aluminum on planet earth. The website recommends not tightening over 35ft lbs, so I just did it to 30. I went up to 32ft lbs to line up the gas tube and the holes on the barrel nut just instantly shred. I then tried to loosen it, but the holes just instantly shred again. Now I have a barrel nut that is not lined up and impossible to remove.
The rail itself does not seem to be horrible quality like the barrel nut, I actually like the feel of it. If you’re going to buy this, make sure to buy a better nut.
Based on the price, availability, and shipping time, it is cost-effective for a recreational shooting or hunting build. I would not use it for a build intended for self-defense, urban combat, or open-field combat.
The manufacturing quality, details such as the barrel nut, screws and assembly nuts, and the thickness of the material could be better. The machining is excellent, and the finish is as well. However, for the price, it is an excellent option as long as you do not need military-grade durability—it is not designed for that.
This is my 3rd mk18 rail. easy to install, no machining slop whatsover...just a high quality and very usable handguard rail. well done ohhunt!
best qualty
Purchased a pack of m-lok to picatinny rails, 45° flip up sights, and a fore-grip. All were of great quality and easy to install. Need something super affordable to work on mechanics/fundamentals. Building to train shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. This is perfect.

Very good quality. The tolerance for the anti rotation tabs is near perfect. I like the light weight barrel nut however I would like to see an option for a steel one for certain build types.
Great product looks good feels good and install was easy and came with tools to do so
Don't waste your time. Barrel nut is made out of weak brittle aluminum that literally broke apart while trying to tighten to 40 ft-lbs. The fit and finish of the rail is decent but the barrel nut was garbage.
