Very Cool

First time building an AR15 and it was pure **** trying to remove a few items. I will say that going through all of the frustration definitely paid off in the end. Highly recommend this hand guard if you are still running stock ones!

Looks and feels great

I bought a 10 inch and the 15 inch handguard which I powder coated one and cerakoted the other. They both felt great and you can't beat the price for the quality. Highly recommend

Perfect fit and comfortable to shoot

The fit and finish of the hand guard with the finger stop works perfectly with my PCC and suppressor. I just wish I could upload a picture

Great improvement on my rifle!

I was rocking a quadguard on a used rifle that I bought. It was heavy & not very comfortable to hold. It was kinda hard getting my old barrel nut off- so I’m glad I got an armors wrench! But once the old one came off , the ohhunt handguard went on easy! Looks great & made my rifle much easier to maneuver, due to its reduced weight! I will say, with the bigger skeleton holes, I do feel more of the heat from the barrel when I'm shooting fast ;-), but the trade off is worth it.

Airsoft use in EUROPE

Bought to use in a replica for airsoft use. I have an AR and a m4 replica, it fits best the AR, but now i got it set up in the m4 and it does the job. Since the replicas and the real guns are not the exact same size, it exist a barely unnoticeable difference, however, it is NOT a problem.

Performs well and it’s extremely beautiful. The mlok is easy to grab and the diameter is just perfect, its lightweight and solid.

Got to mention that customs apply in some EU country’s, i had to pay 8$, which is not a problem. Remember this handguard is extremely cheap and you won’t get anything like this in EU for the price.

Two functional QD and picatinny rails in the top front and rear.

I encourage Ohhunt to approach the EU airsoft market! -Mike from Spain

OK Handguard that Ill settle for (Weight needs to be relisted)

Purchased the 12" Handguard which is advertised as 7.61oz / 216g. I clocked it at 8.3oz / 234g. take 1 or 2 grams from my weight and the advertised weight is still way off for those who are trying to shave off as much as possible, and I also notice machining marks but thats from throughly inspecting but will be more than fine for my use. Improvements that could be made: slimmer profile, change the white logo to a deep engraved logo, and advertise the proper weight.. All in all its a great quality handguard that I recommend. Fast shipping, great quality, lightweight(weight is more than advertised) *** this newly added 12" handguard currently has my 223 WYLDE build sitting at 3.13lbs (rounded up). Waiting on 1.19lb pencil barrel, .07oz gasblock, and a standard 0.64oz gas tube which is a final weight I can live with***

Better Than Expected

This rail is excellent for what I need it for. A 10.5” AR SBR build. This is a rail you’d get from a cool kid company that laser engraved their name on it and charges you 5 times more. I like the fact that this one is just blank. Perfect. Shipping was 2 days to my front door as well as excellent customer service with a few questions I had. I’ll be purchasing more product from here. Thanks.

I was a skeptic

So I night this handguard because I was making a budget AR, I know it’s probably meant for more airsoft applications. This is also lighter than almost anything else on the market. So at this point you’re thinking that this is a payed review and you wouldn’t be correct on that assumption, then again maybe that’s what a payed review would say…. Long story short the handgaurd fits the AR and is very slim. The weight is accurate within .2 ounces, which I would say is reasonable. The edges are a little sharp but not bad. I haven’t put anything m-lok on though.

Handguard is not straight. Sits offset to one side.

Barrel nut works fine. I'm running a 1" suppressor and the handguard is offset so far to one side, it contacts the suppressor on one side and has a 3/8"gap on the other. It's a good design, but poor manufacturing execution.

Great Handguard, Great Value & Great People

I have used practically every hanguard out on the market to date. Bought to put on a little EPC-9 for the wife (Wink) and the fit and finish are close to perfect, more so than not. Only upgrade was steel barrel not, maybe because I'm Old. Already bought three more different Ohunt Handguards to try and have fun with. Great Value. Great Job Ohunt!

Ok with caveats

It's light as heck. Looks good. But it's thin and going to get your hand hot. With a heavy barrel it barely fits inside the handguard. Yeah it's that thin.

Barrel nut will not get close enough to the receiver so you end up with an air gap between your upper rail and the handguard. At least 1/8" when using the thinnest shims possible. I think I used 3 .004 shims. I'm probably going to Dremel off the alignment tabs on the handguard and use no shims to get the barrel nut as close to the upper as possible thus lessening or hopefully eliminating the gap.

The finish has roughness and sharpness on the edges. Feels kinda odd. Feels unfinished. But stuff like this is why it's $30. Probably best if you file it down and repaint it.

It's a $30 shipped handguard. It's alright for what it is.

Lightweight Mother's Day Build

I built my wife a lightweight AR-15 for Mother's day. I had a complete lower assembly and put a lightweight upper on it including the ohhunt 12" rail. The rifle uses a 16" pencil barrel, a lightweight BCG, Polymer upper assembly and birdcage flash suppressor. The complete rifle with a RDS weighs only 5lb 12oz.

The ohhunt Super Slim Lightweight Free Float M-Lock Handguard really makes it look great! It's easy to hold on to and and has a positive clamp that won't come loose. If you're looking for a lightweight rail, this is one of the lightest and best looking I've found for the price.

The only con I found was after I torqued the barrel nut down and installed the gas block and tube the tube would not fit through the barrel nut to go into the upper. After about 5 minuets with a Dremel that issue disappeared! I had no problem with the barrel nut fitting my barrel nut wrench.

I'm seriously considering buying several more 12" and 15" ohhunt rails for future builds and replacing 2 15" rails on existing builds to lighten them up.

Barrel but broke and rail cracked.

Was tightening the barrel nut to 50lbs and the grooves to fit the wrench on it sheared off. I decided to put it on anyway for the time being. When tightening the rail on, it has three Allen screws it cracked when I tightened it on. Very cheap product. Should’ve known from the price. Will never buy again.

A torque of 35 pounds or less is recommended.

Worth every penny

For $28 I have zero complaints. Heck even if I paid $50 I have zero complains. Finish was fairly impressive for what you get as well. Definitely buying more from here.

When will the gen 1 barrel nut system be available again. It is a superior system to the Gen 2. More tedious to install Yes but better in every way.

ohhunt

😂In the past, many people complained to us about the barrel nut of the Gen1, then we we rolled out the Gen2. And now a lot of people start to miss the Gen1. what a sad story :(
