Quality is excellent. I expected sharp edges, but the rails have been deburred and such like DD does. Nearly everything about it is great.
Only critiques I have is the screws that hold the bottom rail in seem a little on the lower grade side, the color is a bit off from what you'd expect (the finish is still great though), and there's some machining marks on the front of the holes where the bolts secure the handguard to the handguard mounting bracket that goes behind the barrel nut.

I like this handguard because it comes with a USGI barrel nut. I can used my standard barrel nut wrench to remove instead of the specialized one. I'm disappointed that you've discontinued it with such.
Many people have complained to us about this barrel nut in the past, which is why we decided to improve it, that is Gen2. Then we receive a lot of suggestions from customers who liked the Gen1, so maybe we will re-produce Gen1 next year, but not full size, maybe only 15 inch : )
The quality and finish of the hand guard is good. Installation was fairly easy. The only problem was the shipping time was long
